TENERIFE EXPERIENCE – 17 věcí, co mě na Tenerife překvapily

Samozřejmě že ještě předtím, než jsme se sem s Elou vydaly, jsme googlily o 106. Některý věci se ale na internetu nedočteš, tak sem se rozhodla o pár z nich podělit.

1. Úplně všichni se tu zdraví a úplně všichni se zdraví slovy „hola!“, což je docela vtipný, protože v ČR nejenže lidi zdravit neumí, ale taky se odmítaj místo pozdravu i usmát.
2. Cigarety jsou tu levnější než v ČR, krabička L&M stojí asi 2,50 €, Marlbora vyjdou na 3,50 €. (1 € = 27,052 kč)
3. Ve Španělsku je 21% nezaměstnanost, ale všichni jsou tu šťastní a nikoho to netrápí.
4. Španělé chtějí být zaměstnání, ale nechtějí pracovat.
5. Většina španělek, kterou jsem potkala, byla hubená. Naopak téměř každý brit byl růžovej, tlustej a blokoval chodník pronajatým elektrickým vozítkem.
6. Španělky chodí v džínách navzdory 30° C.
7. Všichni se tu usmívají, to sluníčko je droga.
8. A ne jediná. Když se šla Ela zeptat nějakýho dredatýho týpka na pláži v El Puertitu, jestli náhodou nemá pivo, tak se jí omlouval, že nemá, že má jen trávu a hašiš.
9. Na jihu Tenerife prší asi 3x do roka.
10. Písek na pláži má asi milion stupňů, takže přestože nepotřebuješ boty do vody, vlastně je potřebuješ.
11. Pláže na jihu Tenerife (v turistických oblastech především) jsou pokryté navezeným pískem ze Sahary.
12. Na přechodu ti tu zastaví úplně každej. 
13. Na jihu Tenerife se vyskytují pomerně často platáže s banány, kdo to ale uvidí poprvé, asi to na první pohled nepozná. Plantáže jsou pokryté obrovskou sítí, aby se zabránilo přístupu písku ze Sahary. Na severu tyto sítě nejsou třeba, jelikož jsou platanos (banány) chráněny přírodně – horou Pico del Teide (což je mimochodem nejvyšší hora Španělska – 3718 m n.m.).
14. Poměrně často tu přes den není jasno, ale tzv. kalima. To je obrovský oblak, v němž poletuje písek (ze Sahary opět).
15. Tenerife je jednou velkou směsí všemožné kultury. Žije tu mnoho marokánců, španělů a bývalých obyvatel Jižní Ameriky. Za prací sem jezdí obyvatelé severských zemí (např. švédi), ale je tu i mnoho čechů a slováků (zatím jsem jich potkala dohromady asi 10).
16. Obyvatelé Kanárských ostrovů (kanárci třeba?) jezdí na dovolenou na nějaký jiný Kanárský ostrov.
17. Španělsky se řekne autobus autobús, ale na Tenerife se tomu neřekne jinak než la guagua, což je slovo původem z Jižní Ameriky (ale tam to znamená miminko, tak nevim).

…and for my friends from Tenerife: 17 things which suprised me in Tenerife.

1. Everyone greets everyone with „Hi“, which is kind of funny, because in Czech Republic people act like they do not know how to greet one or even smile.
2. Cigarettes are a way cheaper than in Czech Republic, for example L&M costs about 2,50€, Marlboro 3,50€.
3. In Spain there is 21% unemployment, but everyone is happy and it does not bother anybody.
4. Spaniards want to be employed but they do not want to work.
5. Most of the of Spanish girls I have met were skinny. On the contrary, every Briton I have met was pink, fat and he blocked the sidewalk with the leased electric runbout.
6. Most of the Spanish girls walk out in their jeans despite of the 30-degree heat.
7. Everybody is smiling here, the sun is kinda drug.
8. And not the only one. When Ela asked some guy in the beach in El Puertito for the bear, he apologized he did not have one and that he had only hashish and weed.
9. In the south of Tenerife rains about 3 times per year.
10. The sand in a beach has about milions degrees, so even even though you do not need water shoes, you actually need them.
11. Beaches in the south of Tenerife (especially in tourist areas) are covered with a sand from the Sahara.
12. Every car stops at the crossing.
13. On the south of Tenerife there occurs quite frequently plantation bananas, but it is not easy to recognize them. Plantations are covered with huge nets to prevent access of the sand from the Sahara. In the north, these networks are not necessary because the platanos (bananas) are protected by nature – by the mountain Pico del Teide.
14. The air is quite often not clear during the day because of the so-called Kalima. That is a huge cloud full of the sand (from the Sahara again).
15. Tenerife is one big mixture of all kinds of cultures. There's a lot of Moroccans, Spaniards and former inhabitants of South America. The people from the Nordic countries (eg. The Swedes) come here because of the work (and warm weather ofcourse), but there is also a lot of Czechs and Slovaks (so far I've met about 10 of them).
16. Inhabitants of the Canary Islands (Canaries perhaps?) go on vacation to some other Canary Island.
17. In spanish is the bus simply autobus, but in Tenerife they call them la guagua, which is a word originating from South America (but in South America it means a baby, weird).
